Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded 05/16/2024. The inspector arrived at 12:10 PM and departed at 12:55 PM. There were 5 children present, totaling 14 points, with the provider supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed preparing for nap time. A total of 5 child records and 2 provider/household records were reviewed.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

Based upon observation, the provider has not ensured that areas inside and outside of the family day home are maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
There is poison ivy growing in several areas under the shrubs along the back fence of the back yard where the children play.
Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following:
We will arrange to have the areas under and around the back shrubbery removed and destroyed. In the interim children, will play near the house or on the play equipment on the resilient surfacing
