During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 8/15/2025. The on-site inspection began at 12:05 PM and ended at 12:50 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 5children present and 1 caregivers; the point total was 8. The inspector reviewed 1 child record and 2 caregiver records. This inspection included document review, a tour of the family day home, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-50-A
The family day home shall keep a written record of children in attendance each day.

There was no record of children in attendance for Monday-Friday of the week.
Plan of Correction: This week has been out of routine for us. Everything should be going back to normal next week and attendance will be documented.
Standard 8VAC20-800-750-D
The topical products shall not be kept beyond the expiration date of the product.

A bottle of baby sunscreen was observed near the door to the backyard. The sunscreen expired 1/2017.
Plan of Correction: I will throw it away.
Standard 8VAC20-800-800-B
The provider shall review the emergency plan at least annually and update the plan as needed. The provider shall document in writing each review and update to the emergency plan.

The most recent documented review of the providers emergency plan is dated 5/14/2024.
Plan of Correction: I can get that done today during nap time.
