Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/18/2024 from 9:45 am-10:48 am. There were 8 children supervised by 2 direct caregivers. The home, 2 caregivers records, 2 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The children were observed playing. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Please submit your plan of correction within 5 business days for it to be included on the website. Based on observation and caregiver interview, the provider did not obtain written parent authorization for topical skin products such as sunscreen, diaper ointment and lotion, oral teething medicine, and insect repellent.

Evidence: There is no documentation of written parent authorization for diaper and topical ointments for Child #1 and Child #3.
Plan of Correction: I will ask parents for a new one.
