Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 2/21/23 from 10:35 am to 11:45 am. There were 6 children (19 points) in care of two caregivers. The children were observed drinking milk, watching children's music and learning video, diapered, and eating lunch. The lunch menu included pasta, chicken meatballs, carrots and milk. There were no children on site with allergies or medications. 3 children's records, 1 caregiver's record, attendance and drill logs were reviewed. Based on observation, small electrical appliances left plugged while not in use.
Evidence: The electric kettle, air fryer and coffee machine were plugged in. None of the appliances were in use.
Plan of Correction: The appliances will be checked to make sure they are unplugged when not in use.

Based on review of required posted documents, the family day home did not ensure that the findings of the most recent inspection were posted.
Evidence:
1. On the date of inspection, the complete findings of the most recent inspection of the facility (9/19/2022) were not posted.
2. The inspection summary was posted but the violation notice was not posted.
