8VAC20-790 SUBSIDY REGULATIONS

Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on May 3, 2023 to determine the center?s compliance with subsidy standards. The inspection began at approximately 9:55 AM and concluded at 1:15 PM. There were 88 children present with 15 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection
determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of ten staff records, two staff member did not have the required first aid and
CPR training within the required time frame.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1?s (hire date 3/8/2023) file, did not contained documentation of first aid and CPR
certification.
2. Staff #2?s (hire date 3/8/2023) file, did not contain documentation of first aid and CPR
certification.
Plan of Correction: Both staff will be certified by May 2023.
