Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 7/2/2025 and completed on 7/2/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:30PM and ended at 2:10PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 7 children, 2 caregivers and 2 volunteers present; the point total was 14. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household member(s) records on-site on 7/2/2025. This inspection included - document review, tour of the home and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-170-B
Providers must obtain a current tuberculosis screening from a caregiver at the time of hire and prior to coming into contact with children. The tuberculosis screening for Caregiver 2, who has been caring for children for over 4 months, was dated 3 months prior to coming in contact with children.
Plan of Correction: Provider will ensure that tuberculosis screenings are obtained within 30 days.
Standard 8VAC20-800-320-G
Fireplaces and associated chimneys shall be inspected annually by a knowledgeable inspector to verify that the devices are properly installed, maintained and cleaned. The annual inspection was overdue by 2 years.
Plan of Correction: Provider will schedule a chimney inspection.
