Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 7. 2023 from 10:00 am until 12:00pm. There were 87 children present with 14 staff supervising. The physical plant, children's records, staff records, first aid kits, medications and authorizations, attendance logs, evacuation logs, bottles, cribs and menu's were reviewed. Based on observation, the center failed maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required in 8VAC20-780-60-A-8. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

Evidence:
All classrooms, were children had allergy plans, had these plans posted (without cover) on bulletin boards.
Plan of Correction: The allergy plans will remain in classrooms, but will have a cover to keep them confidential.
