Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/12/22 from 10:10am to 11:25am with the provider. There were six children in care, ranging in age from two-years to 13-years-old, for a total of seven points. Children were observed watching a movie and having free play, then playing educational letter games and practicing sight words with flashcards. Five child records, the provider record, and one assistant record were reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. The provider reports that there is no medication for children on site and understands that they must obtain certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to give medication. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
