8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety monitoring inspection was conducted today to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This inspection began at 12:30pm and ended at 1:15pm. There were 2 caregivers with 7 children (17 points) in the kitchen at the time of the visit. At the start of the inspection, children were observed eating lunch, hand washing, brushing teeth, laying down for their designated rest period and other organized activities. Children's files, emergency preparedness procedures, evacuation drill log were reviewed. The family daycare space and the outdoor space were also inspected. There were no medications on site at this time. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements.
