Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on November 9, 2022 between 8:45AM and 9:50AM. There were 5 children present with one (1) caregiver supervising within the supervision guidelines. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programing, fire drill log, menu, child and caregiver records, attendance and emergency procedures. There were no medications on site at this time. The provider completed a total of 22 hours of training during the last licensing period, exceeding the requirement of 16 annual training hours. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the programs. Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-770-40-D-4-a
Based on record review, the provider failed to obtain background check results when a minor living in the family day home turned 18 years of age.
Evidence:
1. Household Member #2 is 18 years of age at the time of inspection.
2. The provider acknowledged household member #2 did not have a completed background check on file.
Plan of Correction: I will get this done.
