8 VAC 20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Staff are to complete the VDOE sponsored online orientation course within 90 days.

Staff #2 and Staff #3 have not completed the course. It has been more than 90 days since the Provider has become a subsidy vendor.
Plan of Correction: This 10-hour training shall be completed for all applicable staff.
Standard 8VAC20-790-250-F
Caregivers who work directly with children shall, in addition to preservice and
orientation training required in subsections A through D of this section, annually attend the department s health and safety update course.

Staff #3 did not complete the annual subsidy health and safety update training for 2024.
Plan of Correction: This training shall be completed by all staff by the end of 2025.
