Inspector Notes

A Monitoring inspection was initiated today. This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program. The director was contacted by Zoom and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were a total of 21 children present with 4 staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations and were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of medication authorizations, procedures for giving medication were not complete.
Evidence:
1. The medication authorization for Child #2 was not signed by the phyysician.
2. The medication authorization for Child #1 and #2 did not include the duration of the authorization.
Plan of Correction: We will obtain all required documentation needed for these medications.
