Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 6/11/2024 from 10:00am to 11:30am. At the time of the inspection there were 9 children in care totaling 18 points and 2 caregivers including the provider. Children were observed during story time and lunch. Emergency supplies, evacuation drills, and records for caregivers, children and household members were reviewed. The outside play space was also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the provider did not ensure that potentially poisonous substances, and supplies such as cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, were stored in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
1. A container of Lysol wipes was observed on the toilet tank in the bathroom, and on an accessible shelf in the nap room.
2.The provider confirmed the containers were not in an inaccessible area.
Plan of Correction: During the inspection the provider removed the Lysol container's and put them in an inaccessible area.
