During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on 7/24/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 8:00 am and ended at 8:50 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 9 children present and 3 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 4 caregiver/household members records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22.1-289.035-B-2
The provider must obtain a completed national criminal background check prior to the employee's first date of employment.
Caregiver #1 who had been employed for 1 month did not have results of the national criminal background check on record.
Plan of Correction: I will check on results. She was sent 7/23/2025. I was confused with the CPS check.
Standard 8VAC20-800-50-A
The family day home shall keep a written record of children in attendance each day.

There was no attendance documenting the arrival of children into care when the inspector arrived at 8:00 am.
There were 7 children in care.

Standard 8VAC20-800-750-B
The sunscreen product does not need to be kept locked, but shall be inaccessible to children.

A can of sunscreen was in a child's cubby that was in reach of children in care.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection. Was done when you came to the door.
I will remind staff that thats not ok.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-B
Infants who cannot hold their own bottles shall be picked up and held for bottle feeding. Bottles shall not be propped.

A child was drinking a propped bottle in their crib and was not being held as required.
Plan of Correction: It will not happen again.
