Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal study was conducted. Seven children were present for fifteen points with one provider which is within ratios for supervision. Observed children singing and dancing to holiday music, free play and hand washing before preparing for lunch. Lunch served today was nuggets, green beans, bananas and milk. Files for the provider and household members are current as well as for the provider's pets. The provider has current first aid and CPR certification. The provider serves lunch in the kitchen area and uses the downstairs play area for the children. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.

Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-800-90-C
Based on record review and provider statement, the family day home did not obtain immunization documentation every six months for a child under two years of age.
Evidence:
Child #1's immunization record was updated 1/2022 and a follow-up immunization record was not in the child's record at the renewal study.
Plan of Correction: An updated immunization record was given to the provider documenting immunizations in July 2022.
