Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/18/22 from 10:05am to 11:30am with a manager. There were 20 children in care, ranging from 3rd grade to 6th grade, supervised by two staff. The manager reported that the Kindergarten thru 2nd grade children were currently on a field trip at the water park and would soon return so the 3rd thru 6th grade children could go. The children were observed playing pictionary, washing hands, eating lunch, and going to the restroom to change for the field trip. Five child records and two staff records were reviewed. Additional staff records were reviewed recently for another inspection. The Center has eight staff with current certification in CPR and First Aid, as well as trained in Daily Health Observation. The manager reported that there were no medications on site but the center has four staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance was reviewed. Lunch was provided from home or from the school cafeteria. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
