Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-180-B
The vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

The attendance record for the days 01/07/25 through 01/14/25 did not document the departure of children.
Plan of Correction: I make sure all the attendance are done daily.
Standard 8VAC20-790-250-B
Within the first 90 days of employment or service all caregivers shall complete Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Education.

There is no documentation in the record for Caregiver #3, who has been caring for children for two years and a half, of having completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.
Plan of Correction: I started the training, an I finished on 01/16/2025. Also, my assistant too.

All caregivers shall have within 90 days of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.

There is no CPR certification in the record for Caregiver #3 who has been caring for children for two years and a half.
