Inspector Notes

An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on 06/27/2022. There were 73 children in care, ages 3 months-10 years, and 12 staff present during the inspection. The inspector interviewed 1 staff member, observed 6 groups of children and reviewed 3 staff records and 3 children?s records. The inspector discussed the following with staff: staffing and supervision, special feeding needs, and activities with infants. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 8:15 am and departed at 9:30 am.

The information gathered during the inspection did not support the complaint and therefore the complaint was determined to be not valid.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations unrelated to the complaint were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure pillows and filled comforters shall not be used by children under two years of age.
Evidence: An infant was observed in a crib with a pillow.
Plan of Correction: Pillow will be removed and returned to parent.
