Inspector Notes

An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today. A total of 86 children with 17 staff were present. A walk thru of classrooms, playground and bathrooms was conducted. Children were observed preparing to complete a painting activity, infants were observed sleeping or being held while bottle feeding and some classes had transitioned outside to play on the playground. A pitcher of water and disposable cups was observed outside for the children to hydrate while playing. Medication was onsite, a random review was completed. Topical ointments to include sunscreen was also onsite and were reviewed. A total of 4 children's records, and 3 new staff records were reviewed. Staff MAT/ driving record, CPR and First Aid qualifications were reviewed to ensure qualified staff are used while transporting children. Thank you for your cooperation today. Based on staff record review, one background check was not obtained as required.
Evidence:
Staff # 2's out of state criminal background check was obtained through a third party vendor. All out of state background search requests must be requested from the Interstate Child Care Background Check Contact List.
Plan of Correction: We will request an out of state criminal background check for this staff using the contact listed on the Interstate Background Contact list. We will forward the search results to the Licensing Inspector for review within 10 working days.
