Inspector Notes
An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today. A total of 80 children with 14 staff were onsite. Observation of all occupied classrooms (7 classes) was conducted. Positive interaction between staff and children was observed. Handwashing and diapering procedures were in place. The center was decorated with fall decorations and projects completed by the children such as painted turkeys, cutting latices for construction paper pies and "Autumn for Apples" where the children in the Pre K2 class learned about the parts of the apple.
A review of medication, topical ointments and the centers emergency drills was completed. A total of 8 children's records that included allergy action plans and medication authorizations was reviewed along with 3 new staff records. This inspection was conducted between 9am and 12pm. Two cleaning agents were located in a bottom unlocked cabinet in the PreK 2 classroom.
Evidence:
Food brought from home was not labeled with the date and child's name in the Infant 2 class refrigerator.
Evidence:
The trays used to store infant bottles in the Infant classrooms was unclean and had dried debris on the bottom of the trays.
