Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 10/01/2024, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:30am and ended at 1:15pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 88 children present and 17 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 8 staff records on-site. This inspection included observations of all 8 classrooms, staff interviews and documentation review.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Areas of the center should be maintained in a safe condition.

An area of wall located in the Infant 1 classroom has peeling paint and is accessible to the children in care.
Plan of Correction: A work order has been placed and repairs are scheduled.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place that prevents access by children.

A cleaning material was found unlocked in a cabinet accessible to children in the Intermediate 1 classroom.
Plan of Correction: The cleaning agent was immediately removed.
