Inspector Notes

An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today between 1:45pm-2:50pm. There were 9 children present with the Substitute Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 24 points. The children were observed playing with toys and beind held. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and caregiver records, evacuation drill log, menu, attendance and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Based on observation, the bathroom did not contain liquid soap.

Evidence:
1. There was no liquid soap available in the bathroom at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: We will put liquid soap in the bathroom today.
Standard 8VAC20-800-570-A
Based on observation, provider did not ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points.

Evidence:
1. Caregiver #2 was observed to be the only caregiver with 9 children (24 points) from approximately 1:45pm-2:15pm while the substitute provider went to the store.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure we go to the store before or after the kids come so that we won't be over our points. We will make sure we are within our points.
