Inspector Notes

This investigation/ inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to the state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

An investigation was conducted today 12/28/2021 in response to a self reported incident received by our office regarding care and protection of an infant. Based upon interviews, video camera footage and review of program policy, there was not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation.

Areas reviewed during monitoring inspection included: staff to child ratios, age ranges of children in the mobile and non-mobile infant room and child records to include, accident/ incident reports, and criteria for transitioning children to older classrooms.

Also discussed were positve impacts from ongoing trainings implemented by program on the topics of mandated reporting and responsibilities and positive guidance techniques.
