Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 7/27/2023. There were 8 children present with the provider and an assistant supervising. The point total was 14. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Children were observed watching a children's television show, preparing for nap time and resting quietly. Restroom and handwashing procedures were observed. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 12:25 pm and concluded at 1:45 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the licensee did not obtain a current Criminal History Record Check within 5 years of the most recently obtained criminal record check.
Evidence:
Three provider / Assistant / Household member records were reviewed.
The record for provider #1 contained the last results of a criminal history record search which was dated 6/18/2018. These results were more than 5 years ago and required updating before 6/18/2023.
The provider confirmed that an updated criminal record check had not been completed.
Plan of Correction: The licensee will make an appointment for fingerprinting to be completed within 10 days and forward the confirmation of appointment to the licensing inspector at that time. The results of the fingerprint based criminal records search will be forwarded to the inspection upon receipt.
