Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/5/23 from 10:40 am to 11:35 am. There were 5 children (9 points) in care of 1 caregiver. The children were observed playing games and watching videos on tablets. 1 caregiver's record, 1 household member's record and 2 children's records were reviewed. There were no medications on site. Attendance and emergency drill records were reviewed.

Based on observation, cleaning agents were not stored in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence: Several cleaners were stored in the cabinet under the bathroom sink used by the children. The cabinet was not locked.
Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-800-320-B
Based on observation, protective covers were not installed on unused electrical outlets.
Evidence: Two outlets on an extension cord on the shelf where the children were playing, were not covered with protective covers.
Plan of Correction: Covers will be installed.
