Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:20am-12:30pm. There were 29 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating lunch . Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
Toddler 2 classroom, bleach water was observed on the counter next to the sink.
2's classroom bleach water was observed on the counter next to the sink.
Pre-K classroom ( bathroom) cleaning product was sitting next to the sink.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.

Based upon observation, electrical outlets did not have protective covers.

Evidence:
Toddler 2 classroom had 1 outlet near sink that did not have protective cover.
School aged classroom had 2 outlets uncovered by the white board and 1 outlet uncovered by the window/ globe.
Plan of Correction: We didn' t know that the school aged room needed outlets.

All replaced during the inspection.
