Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was conducted today approximately 11:15 am to 1:23 pm. A walk-through was conducted of the family day home. There were currently 8 children, totaling 21 points, supervised by one staff. This concern was addressed in the violation notice.

During the inspection, children were observed indoor play, circle time and resting. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 2 caregivers certified CPR and First Aid.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observations, the provider did not ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points by using the following point system to determine if an additional caregiver is needed.
Evidence:
1. At arrival and during the inspection, there were 8 children (totaling 21 points) supervised by the Provider
2. The Provider was caring for the 8 children for an1 hour and 30 minutes before another staff member came to assist with the care of the children.
