Inspector Notes

An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted today. A total of 10 children were present with 2 staff for a total of 26 points. The childen were playing freely in the main program area with staff supervision. Hand washing occurred prior to them transitioning for lunch. The children lined up in an organized method and the Provider assisted with the hand washing. Three children in high chairs and were strapped into the chairs appropriately. The older children sate together at a table. Staff assisted with feeding the younger children and encouraged the other children to eat. Lunch today was lentils, rice and vegetables with fresh fruit and milk to drink. Sufficient amount of food to allow for second helpings. Observation of the entire home was made to include the lower level living space. After lunch, the children were on the floor with staff playing and interacting before naptime. Three children were placed down for nap in the crib room and the older children napped in a room with cots. Staff were observed sitting beside the cots to provide supervision. One child was not feeling well and was napping in a separate room under the supervision of the Provider. A total of 6 children's records and all staff records were reviewed and found complete. No medication needs at this time and no identified food allergies. This inspection occurred between 11:30am and 1:15pm. Thank you for your cooperation today.
