Inspector Notes

Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 11:40am and 1:45pm. There were 9 classrooms observed with a total of 117 children with 19 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing on the floor, transitioning from lunch activities, setting up their cots for rest time and napping. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today's inspection and can be viewed on the violation notice.

Based on record review and interview, a written care plan has not been obtained for each child with a diagnosed food allergy.
Evidence: Child #6 has a diagnosed food allergy and has emergency medication kept on site in case of an accidental ingestion of an allergen. Child #6's record does not contain an allergy action plan
Plan of Correction: The allergy car form has been provided to the family already. The family was contact during the inspection and was reminded to return the completed forms.
