Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on January 12, 2023 from approximately 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, household members, physical environment and equipment, emergencies, caregiver training, preventing the spread of disease and nutrition. The provider record and 5 children?s records were reviewed. All areas of the home were observed and areas where the children are cared for were inspected. There were 5 children in attendance for a total of 16 points. The children were observed taking a nap while the inspector was on the premises.

A complete licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in the licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-790-180-D
Based on records review, the provider failed to document the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: The daily attendance record for 1 out of 5 children did not have any times of departure documented for the previous week.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider "parents are reminded every morning and evening to sign their child in and out."
