Based on interviews, it was determine that the center did not ensure the care, protection and guidance of children in care.
Evidence:
The center failed to adhere to the health and safety guidelines established in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic of maintaining the same group of children day-to-day and not combining classrooms to help reduce potential exposure to COVID-19. Interviews revealed that classrooms are being combined in the morning and at the end of the day, at approximately 3:30 pm. In the mornings, two classrooms ( infant and schoolager rooms) are open to receive children. Once the teachers arrived in the morning, they will pick up their assigned children from one of these 2 rooms and take the children to their assigned room.
On 3/15/21 child A, who is assigned to the Prep B classroom, was moved into two additional classrooms (the Prep A and the Prep classroom).
