Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/03/2021 and concluded on 05/04/2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 54 children present and 18 staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. Based on record review, it was determined that the center did not ensure that Central Registry search results were obtained by the end of the 30th day of employment.
Evidence:
1) On the day of inspection, the record for Staff #3 (start date 10/21/2020) did not contain results of a Central Registry search.
Plan of Correction: Paperwork will be submitted to central Registry tomorrow (05/07/2021)
