Inspector Notes
Licensing Inspector Anderson conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to allegations received by the licensing office on November 8, 2023, in the area of child abuse and neglect. The investigation of the complaint was initiated on November 13, 2023 and findings were reviewed on December 7, 2023.
As the information gathered during the investigation support the allegations, the complaint is determined to be ?VALID.?
The inspection documents were updated on 1/16/2024 to correct a typographical error on the violation notice.

Violations
1EVIDENCE:
Video footage from 11/02/2023 showed evidence that Staff #1 snatched a blanket and mat simultaneously from Child #1 (3 yr old) who was asleep on the mat. The interview with Staff #1 revealed that the staff person had daily difficulty with Child #1 at the conclusion of naptime and the action of pulling the mat from Child #1 had been a repeated occurrence for several weeks. Staff #1 stated, ?I takes his mat everyday, I have to pick it up from up under him.?
During the interview, Staff #1 confirmed that they used an excessive amount of force when they pulled the mat from under Child #1 on 11/02/2023. Staff #1 stated, ?You can see [in the video] his feet fly up and I know I did yank it up hard.
Staff will receive training on empathy and how to redirect children with behaviors.
Administrator and center director will verify each employee file.
