Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts and documents review.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated and concluded on 7/29/2021. There were 19 children present with 5 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22VAC40-665-580-E-1
Based on a review of staff training records, it was determined that within 90 days of employment not all staff hold and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence:
Staff person D began employment on 12/14/2021. She has not obtained CPR certification.
The CPR certification for staff person E expired on 4/21/2021.
Plan of Correction: Both are scheduled to attend class on 8/20/2021.
