Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on July 10, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 8:25am and ended at 11:30am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 35 children present and 6 staff. The inspector reviewed six children?s records and five staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and observations. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-330-B
Resilient surfacing in the playground shall comply with minimum safety standards. The level of mulch on the playground was low in some areas and in other areas, the ground could be seen, especially on the landing zones of the slides and swings.
Plan of Correction: Mulch was ordered before the inspection on July 9th, inspection was July 10th, and the mulch delivered today, July 14th.

Nonprescription medication shall be given to a child only with written authorization from the parent. Classroom #1, had different tubes of diaper ointment (Triple Paste, Neosporin, Butt Paste) for children who had transferred from their sister school, that did not have written authorization from the parent to administer the ointment.
