Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on 9/27/21 and concluded on 9/29/21. There were 28 children present with three staff supervising. Three children's files and three staff's files were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the center failed to ensure the record for a child in care contained a written allergy care plan for a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence:

The director stated one child in care has a food allergy and the mother has not provided an allergy care plan.
Plan of Correction: The mother of the child will be advised to providerthe allergy care plan or the child will not be allowed to return.
