Inspector Notes

An annual Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 02/08/2024, between the hours of 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. There were (2) children in care (4 points) with the vendor. The inspector reviewed (3) children?s records and (1) adult household record submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined (1) area of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the vendor.

Based on review, not all of the required training was completed for 2023.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (02/08/2024) it was determined that a certificate of completion of the department's health and safety update course was not available for review.
2. The Vendor stated that she was unaware of this training. The website childcare.virginia.gov , Training and Professional Development was shared with the Vendor. This included the Virginia Health and Safety Update Training (3 hours).
Plan of Correction: The 2024 Virginia Health and Safety Update Training will be completed by the end of this year.
