Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documentation review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).

A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on February 2, 2022 and concluded on February 10, 2022. There are no children enrolled and she has not had children for over a year. The Vendor has attended trainings and has a current CPR certification. The Vendor has kept paperwork from previous enrolled children and she has supplies and equipment for children ready for when she does start taking children in again. Violations

1
Standard 22VAC40-665-230-H
Based on record review and discussion, the Vendor was unable to demonstrate or verify with documentation that she has completed annual health and safety training.
Evidence:
1. Inspector asked about documentation of annual training and health and safety update and she stated she sent it to her local agency representative and stated she has many hours.
2. Inspector asked specifically about the department's health and safety update course. She could not recall if it was taken.
3. Training documents were received from the local agency and the annual Health and Safety certificate was not included.
Plan of Correction: Inspector is sending me the form that states the link for the class so I can look and see if it is needed. I didn't know it had to be taken every year.
