Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on February 13, 2023, beginning at 10:00am and ending at 11:00am. There were two (2) children in attendance at the time of the inspection. Required background searches, training certificates and household member information was reviewed. A sample of requirements for daily attendance, child information/records, emergency preparedness planning and supplies were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Based on record review and interview, the child's information did not include proof of the child's identity.
Evidence:
1. The file for child #2 did not have proof of the child's identity.
2. The vendor acknowledged the proof of identity for child #2 was not obtained.
Plan of Correction: I will tell the parents and have them bring in the proof of identity.

Based on observation, children's hands were not washed with soap and running water after toileting.
Evidence: Child #1 hands were not washed after toileting.
Plan of Correction: I will be sure to wash their hands each time. Violation was corrected during the inspection.
