Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 11/8/2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:10am and ended at 10:20am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present and 2 caregivers; the point total was (#). The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household member(s) records on-site.This inspection included document review, tour of the facility interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-250-E
Balloons shall be inaccessible to children under five years of age.

There were three children under the age of 5 blowing up their own individual balloons posing a choking hazard.
Plan of Correction: Balloons were removed from the children.
Standard 8VAC20-800-800-B
The provider shall review the emergency plan at least annually and update the plan as needed. The provider shall document in writing each review and update to the emergency plan.

The most recent review and update to the emergency plan was over 7 years ago.
Plan of Correction: Emergency plan was updated and signed.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-E
Bottles shall be refrigerated and labeled with the child?s full name and the date, if more than one infant is in care.

There were two infants in care, Child #1 had a bottle that was not labeled with their name or a date.
Plan of Correction: Infants bottles will be labeled daily with children's names and dates.
