Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was initiated on November 25, 2024 and completed on November 25, 2024. The inspection started at 10:10am and concluded at 10:55am.There were two children present and one caregiver; the point total was six. The inspector reviewed four children?s records and one caregiver record on-site.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Attendance has not been taken for the past eleven months.
Plan of Correction: Will start taking attendance.
Standard 8VAC20-790-190-B
The vendor did not ensure all required information was in the record.

Child #1 and #4 were missing emergency contact information. Child #3 was missing emergency contact information, parent's employment address and telephone number.
Plan of Correction: Will have parents complete the missing information in their files.

Potentially poisonous substances shall be stored in areas inaccessible to children.

A can of Febreze Air Freshener was stored on a low shelf accessible to children in the play room area.
Plan of Correction: Will store hazardous materials in an inaccessible space.
