8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes

Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal visit was conducted today. At Inspector arrival (10:05 AM) the vendor was not home. The adult answering the door was able to reach the vendor by phone, who returned home within 15 minutes. It was determined that 1 daycare child (4 points) was in care with relatives of the vendor while the vendor was gone.

Based on direct observation, the vendor did not ensure that a caregiver who was left alone with children, in control of, or supervising one or more children had undergone a background check in accordance with the Code of Virginia.
Evidence:
At Inspector arrival to the home (approximately 10:05 AM) the vendor was not at home. One day care child was in the care of 3 adults that are visiting the home and have no background checks completed. (Child 1, Adults 1,2,3)
