Inspector Notes

An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on March 6, 2023, beginning at 10:30am and ending at 11:40am. There were two (3) children in attendance at the time of the inspection. Required background searches, training certificates and household members' information were reviewed. A sample of requirements for daily attendance, child information/records, emergency preparedness planning and supplies were also reviewed. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the vendor.

Based on observation, children's hands were not washed with soap and running water before and after eating meals or snacks.

Evidence: 1. Child #1, Child #2, and Child #3 did not wash their hands prior to eating lunch.
2. Child #2 did not wash their hands prior to eating a snack of apple slices.
Plan of Correction: I always wash their hands. I will wash them.

Based on record review and interview with the vendor, the evacuation drill was not practiced
monthly.
Evidence: 1. The fire drill log indicated that the last fire drill was conducted on 7/13/22.
2. The vendor acknowledge the last drill was on 7/13/22.
Plan of Correction: I will do one this week. I will do them monthly.

Based on observation, the table was not cleaned and sanitized before and after each use for feeding.
Evidence: The table was not cleaned and sanitized before Child #2 and Child #3 were
provided their lunch.
