Inspector Notes

An annual subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 3/28/2024 between 11:30am and 12:00pm. There was one child receiving care by the vendor. The home, polices and procedures, emergency supplies and procedures, emergency drills, 1 child's record, the
vendor/caregiver's record, and 2 household member's records were reviewed. An exit interview was conducted with the vendor. Violations were found on subsidy health and safety requirements and is identified on the violation notice.

Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1. No attendance record was documented.
2. Vendor stated they were not aware of this requirement.
Plan of Correction: Vendor will maintain attendance, recording time of arrival and departure for each child in care.
Standard 8VAC20-790-430-B
Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for one year.
Evidence:
1. No drill record for 2023
2. Vendor stated they tore up the 2023 drill record at the end of the year and was not aware they should have kept it.
Plan of Correction: Vendor will keep records of emergency drills.
