Inspector Notes

A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 7/19/2023 from 2:15pm-3:15 pm. There were 3 children directly supervised by the vendor. During the inspection the home, activities, emergency preparedness planning, drills and supplies were inspected. The children's records, vendor information and household member information were also reviewed.

Information gathered determined violations with applicable code or requirements and are listed on the Violation Notice.

Based on observation, deodorizer was not kept in area inaccessible to children.
Evidence: Room deodorizer was located on the round table in the dining room area.
Plan of Correction: Moved during inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-790-400-H
Based on observation, medications were not kept in a locked place.
Evidence:
Household member medication was located on the round table in the dining area and on a high shelf mounted on the wall in the childcare area next to the sliding glass door.
Plan of Correction: I moved them during the inspection. I will lock them from now on.

Based on record review, required record for practice drills were not maintained as required.
Evidence: required monthly fire drill was not documented for the month of June 2023.
Plan of Correction: I did the drill. We ran out of spaces to write on the last form. The fire marshal gave us a new one.
