Inspector Notes

An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today. No children present during the inspection but were expected later this afternoon. A total of 3 children currently enrolled. Walk thru of all 3 levels of the home and observation of the back and side yard was completed. All child/ vendor and household member files were reviewed. Discussion on locating cleaning agentsin an area that is not accessible to children. Some renovations to the lower level was observed which included new cabinets and flooring. The exit interview was conducted with thevendor and corrective actions were provided for the violations found today. Inspection conducted between 11:50am to 1:15pm. Based on record review, certification in first aid was not found.
Evidence:
A current certification in first aid was not found for the Vendor.
Plan of Correction: The first aid course was completed. I will request a replacement first aid certificate card.

Based on record review, required training was not obtained.
Evidence:
The Vendor has not completed the 3 hour health and safety update course.
Plan of Correction: I will complete this training this month.

Based on observation of the home, protective covers for electrical outlets were not found on 2 outlets.
Evidence:
The electrical outlet in the lower level programming space did not have a protective covering. The electrical outlet located in the dining room did not have a protective covering.
Plan of Correction: Outlet covers were placed on these two outlets. picture sent to inspector.
