Inspector Notes

An in-person annual subsidy inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 07/05/2023, between the hours of 9:45am to 10:30am. There were three children in care and no children living in the home under the age of 12 present with the vendor. The inspector reviewed three children?s records and four adult/household member records submitted by the vendor to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and no violations were issued.

Based on record review, children's records did not contain required information.
Evidence:
1. Child #1's(Start date-12/15/22), Child #2's (Start date-12/15/22), and Child #3's(Start date-12/15/22) records did not contain documentation of the medication policy.
Plan of Correction: The parents will be given the department's model form for medication to be completed.
Standard 8VAC20-790-270-A
Based on observation, potentially poisonous substances, materials, and supplies were not stored in areas inaccessible to children,
Evidence:
1. A bottle of disinfectant spray and air freshener were located on a table in the dining area of the home.
2. Disinfectant spray and sanitizing cleaner were located in an unlocked cabinet under the sink in the bathroom.
Plan of Correction: The disinfectant spray and air freshener bottles were removed from the table and locked up at the time of the inspection. The vendor will get a lock for the bathroom cabinet.
