Inspector Notes

An unannounced annual subsidy inspection was conducted on 11/14/2023 from 11:15 to 12:00.
The vendor was present with 5 children in care. One was her granddaughter. A total of 13 points. The children were working on letters and numbers. The vendor has a nice set up for the children in care with lots of toys to play with. A violation notice was given to the vendor with this inspection summary. Discussed using the safety straps when children are in bouncy seats and other equipment. Reviewed the records for three household members and the four children in care.

Based on the observation during the inspection, the vendor did not ensure that the capacity was not exceeded.
Evidence: At the time of the inspection the vendor had 4 enrolled children present as well as her own granddaughter. Capacity of the LOH is 4, leaving her one child above the allowed capacity
Plan of Correction: I did not realize that I can not have my granddaughter here, I thought it was okay even if she does not live here. I will discuss with her parents.

Based on the review of the physical plant, the vendor failed to keep a hazardous substance inaccessible to the children in care.
Evidence: The provider had a basket full of small hand sanitizer bottle on the shelf with all the toys. With in reach of the children. The travel size bottles do not have safety caps.
Plan of Correction: Moved during the inspection. I will make sure that I store out of reach.
