Inspector Notes

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were a total of 10 children (27 pts) with 2 staff providing supervision. The children were transitioning to the outside to play in the backyard. The children were observed on the play equipment, using sidewalk chalk to draw on the wooden fence and interacting with the Provider and the assistant. The area was large enough to allow the children to play with balls and run. After approximately 30 minutes, they transitioned back inside where they washed hands and prepared for lunch. Handwashing and diapering procedures were observed during this time. The older children sat at one table and the younger children sat at a smaller table and high chairs. Lunch today was spaghetti with milk to drink. Observation of the bathroom, food preparation area and program space. The home was found clean and organized. A total of 2 staff, all household members and 5 children's records were reviewed and found complete. One violation found today. This inspection occurred between 11am and 12:30pm. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
