Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director on January 29, 2024, beginning at 10:58 a.m. and ending at 11:26 a.m. There were 48 school-aged children in the care of 6 direct care staff. The children were observed eating lunch which consisted of chicken nuggets, salad, apples, and milk. Five children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. Four medications were reviewed and in compliance. The menu, daily attendance, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 1/8/2024. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 11/16/2023. The most recent lockdown drill was documented as 1/18/2024. The most recent health inspection was dated 1/31/2023. The most recent fire inspection was dated 3/16/2022.

Based on a review of 26 staff records, it was determined that not all staff records contained a central registry finding. Evidence: Staff A's record did not have documentation of a central registry finding.
Plan of Correction: The background check had been completed. A copy of the staff's central registry finding was emailed to the inspector and placed in the staff record.
